TWNA

The Third Ward Neighborhood is a great place to live for four main reasons:
convenience | community | history | quality of the homes

In the Third Ward, you know your neighbors and they know you. Building community is a way of life here, whether borrowing eggs for a recipe, shoveling an elderly neighbor’s sidewalk after a snowstorm, or participating in one of the neighborhood gatherings. We are bordered by the Chippewa River, Putnam Park, the west side of the Harding/Bracket Hill, and on the north by Lake Street. The University is adjacent to our neighborhood, and we work closely with them and they attend our meetings, as do ECPD and our City Council Rep.

NEW: There are many concerns in a neighborhood, and it helps for us to make each other aware of things. We have developed TWO things to make this easier for residents:

  1. A comprehensive list of “who to call for what” for our residents. You can find that list HERE.
  2. A form, where Steering can keep track of trends, concerns, etc. Use it to let us know you’ve contact the city of city council or the health dept. Use it to document zoning concerns or landlord/owner concerns. Use the form here, but do NOT think we will report things for you. We are stronger as a diverse voice. But, keep us informed. Access the form HERE.
  3. In Addition, the Safe Families for Children handout from January meeting’s presentation is linked below.
